Tourists generally visit the central part of Florence corresponding to Piazza della Signoria, the Uffizi Gallery, Piazza della Repubblica and Piazza Duomo, with its outstanding Cathedral and Baptistery. Of course, all these pieces of art and history deserve an accurate visit, but to be original and discover something different go beyond the tourist trail! Cross the Ponte Vecchio and reach the south side of the river: there you will find plenty of bars, churches, museums, parks and workshops.
